Phantom secured a thirty day temporary licence late in 2003, which they opted to split over 14 weekends. And, so, less than a month after its final show, The Anorak Hour returned as Media Beacon - a licensed upgrade to the previous version. Another change saw a new, more upbeat, theme tune but, ultimately, it was the same format and style that had served the programme well before 'legitimacy' was cast upon it. That legitimacy now allowed the team to seek out contributions that were previously shut to them.
